Sunday Feast Program

Join us every Sunday at ISKCON Scarborough for devotional chanting, worship, spiritual learning, and a free vegetarian feast. Everyone is welcome, whether you are visiting for the first time or regularly joining our temple community.

Japa Meditation and Bhoga Offering

11:30–11:45 a.m.

Begin the program with japa, personal meditation through chanting the Hare Krishna maha-mantra on prayer beads. During this time, food prepared for Lord Krishna is offered as bhoga.

Kirtan and Welcoming Devotees

11:45 a.m.–12:00 noon

Join in devotional singing as we welcome devotees and visitors to the temple. Kirtan brings everyone together to chant the holy names of the Lord, accompanied by traditional musical instruments. Darshan is closed during this period.

Aarti and Kirtan

12:00–12:20 p.m.

Gather for aarti, a worship ceremony in which lamps, incense, and other offerings are presented to the Lord. Join the accompanying kirtan and take part in this time of prayer and devotion.

Prema Dhwani and Narasimha Arati

12:20–12:25 p.m.

Participate in prema dhwani, devotional expressions of praise and gratitude to the Lord, spiritual teachers, and devotees. This is followed by Narasimha arati, with prayers to Lord Narasimhadeva for protection and the removal of obstacles in spiritual life.

Welcome and Introduction

12:25–12:30 p.m.

We warmly welcome first-time visitors and regular attendees, followed by a brief introduction to the day’s program. Get acquainted with our temple community as we prepare for the discourse.

Vedic Discourse and Sunday School

12:30–1:30 p.m.

Explore teachings from the Vedic scriptures and their relevance to everyday life. The discourse offers an opportunity to reflect on devotion, spiritual understanding, and our relationship with Lord Krishna.

During this time, children can participate in Sunday School to learn about Krishna consciousness through lessons and activities suited to them.

Free Vegetarian Feast — Prasadam

From 1:30 p.m.

The program concludes with prasadam, a free vegetarian meal offered to Lord Krishna and shared with everyone. Enjoy a meal together and connect with fellow visitors and devotees.

We look forward to welcoming you and your family. Hare Krishna!
