About Our Deities
At ISKCON Scarborough, we are blessed to serve and worship the beautiful forms of Gaur Nitai, Radha Gopi Vallabh Dev, and Jagannatha Baladev Subhadra. Each of these Deities holds a special place in the hearts of devotees and represents different form of the Divine.

Gaur Nitai : Sri Sri Gaura-Nitai are the combined forms of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Lord Nityananda. They are the most merciful incarnations of Lord Krishna and Lord Balarama, who appeared in the 15th century to spread the congregational chanting of the holy names of the Lord.

Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu : Also known as Gauranga due to His golden complexion, He is Krishna Himself in the mood of His most devoted servant, Srimati Radharani. He came to teach the yuga-dharma of chanting the holy names and to distribute love of Krishna freely.
Lord Nityananda Prabhu : The incarnation of Lord Balarama, He is the epitome of mercy and compassion. Together with Lord Chaitanya, He spread the holy names and delivered countless souls. Special Significance: Devotees worship Gaur Nitai for their unparalleled mercy and the benediction of pure love for Krishna. They are especially merciful to those who chant the
holy names.

Radha Gopi Vallabh Dev : Sri Sri Radha Gopi Vallabh Dev represents the divine couple, Srimati Radharani and Lord
Krishna, in Their eternal pastimes in Vrindavan.
Radha Rani: The supreme goddess of devotion and the embodiment of pure love for Krishna. She is known for Her unparalleled beauty and Her deep, selfless love for Krishna.
Lord Krishna : The Supreme Personality of Godhead, known for His enchanting form, sweet pastimes, and flute playing. He is the source of all incarnations and the beloved of Radha.
Special Significance: Devotees worship Radha Gopi Vallabh Dev to develop pure devotion
and to be blessed with the service of Radha and Krishna. Their love and pastimes inspire
devotees to cultivate deep, selfless love for the divine couple.

Jagannatha, Baladev, Subhadra : Sri Sri Jagannatha, Baladev, and Subhadra are the divine siblings worshipped at the
famous temple in Puri and many ISKCON temples worldwide.
Lord Jagannatha : The Lord of the Universe, a special form of Krishna who is immensely merciful. His large, smiling face is known to bring joy and comfort to all.
Lord Baladev (Balarama) : The elder brother of Krishna, representing strength, support, and protection. He is always ready to assist His devotees in their spiritual endeavors.
Lady Subhadra : The sister of Krishna and Balarama, representing auspiciousness and compassion. Her presence completes the divine family and brings harmony and blessings.
Special Significance : Worshipping Jagannatha, Baladev, and Subhadra brings theblessings of the entire divine family. Devotees seek their mercy for spiritual protection, strength, and auspiciousness in life.
